Here’s the new bookshelf for my daughter’s room. Oak and walnut, shellac finish, half-lap joints. Drove four screws through the top and bottom shelf supports into wall studs to keep it flat against the wall. As expected, properly and safely hanging it without showing any hardware was the toughest part of this project…

This one is inspired by tapered bookshelf project from the book “Table Saw Projects” by Ken Burton.

Looks good, hiding the mounting is a challenge.

Thank you. Ended up with removing cleats and screwing it with four screws directly to the studs – it was the only way to keep it flat against the wall.
