2 weeks ago I found the wood used in this project when searching my pallet wood stash from years ago. Most of the pallet wood was oak and has been used for several projects. 2-30 inch dark colored pieces caught my eye. After running them through the jointer and planer plane I saw some beautiful wood species unknown. Using Steve Ramsey’s recent project for inspiration I made this frame/stand. A scrap of cherry ply used for back. Finished with one coat of BLO and several coats of spray lacquer.

Nice looking project! I too use Steve’s ideas in my project. His Candy Plinko was a fun project.

Very nice work and I like the idea that it’s a picture frame when a mobile phone isn’t on it. This would probably work well for an iPad too.
