My daughter wanted me to design and build her some laundry shelves.

The shelves are 18.25 inches wide. I built the vertical wood wall and shelves in my home workshop, using Kreg pocket screws and glue to join up the pine boards.

I built the shelve pieces in my home workshop, then transported them 50 miles to my daughter’s house for installation. I intentionally made all of the pieces at least 1 inch longer than plan, to allow for cutting to fit at the installation site.

We used a Lowes 24 inch wide 30 high kitchen cabinet for storage of laundry related items.

Everything went according to plan. She is happy with her new shelving unit.

If you would like to see the trials & tribulations of designing and building this shelving unit, see my web site.

That is what counts, is she was happy, great job on gaining some wonderful storage space

-- Norman - I never never make a mistake, I just change the design.

When I showed the Google sketchup design to the boys at work, several of them wanted me to report their house after I got my daughter’s shelving done… I could do their houses also :)
