First attempt at making a “box” this small… I initially tried to make the rattle out of two pieces: the handle, and a hollowed-out rattle, except that I just couldn’t get the knack of hollowing out something so small. I eventually just made everything out of one piece, then cut the ‘bulb’ in half and hollowed each half with a forstner bit and just glued that sucker back together! I grabbed a few pebbles from outside for the rattling, sanded down to 400 grit and sealed with mineral oil.
It looks kinda rough, but I’m happy and ready for the final draft!

Good to see that in this modern world that an old fashioned baby rattle has been made. Good work.
