[Legebla ankaĆ en Esperanto]

Last year I promised my pastor that I would build two mangers to replace one that was more or less falling apart. I made two because the one occasionally gets borrowed by our in house pre-school to rehearse their Christmas program. Having two will ease some of the friction of our main display occasionally missing Jesus’ bed.

I wanted to build these from pallet wood, but I never got around to actually getting a pallet. It is recycled wood though. I went through my scrap bin for the legs and used some of my long pieces of drawer wood for the slats. Glue and some small brads hold things together. The finished product was antiqued with a rust and vinegar solution. A coat of polyurethane keeps the vinegar small down and protects the surface. Each one is about 30 inches long and 15 inches wide.
