Steampunk Game Shelves

These shelves are the first step in the steampunk remodel of our library. I’m planning on adding two Edison lights—one that will hang down from the exposed pipe on the left bottom shelf, and one that will stick up from the top left exposed pipe. The boards are pine 2×12s and the pipe is 3/4 inch black iron. I sanded against the grain to give it a bit of a distressed look.

Brilliant use of pipework. I really like the minimalist and effort of this piece.

-- I know what the tools are, I know what they are used for, now I just have to learn how to apply the fine art and start using them.
