I needed to cut some slots in the miter joints of some already glued up frames, so I threw together this large jig to cut them. The bottom piece is 4×24x3/4 melanine.

Sorry, the photo is not clear enough. I assume you are referring the the two tan colored objects under the clamps. Those are just biscuits (which were handy) to protect the work piece from being dented by the clamp.
