Hi All
Its been a while since I last posted anything (very busy) this box was designed by me for Seiko Watches for the tennis player Novak Djokovic. The idea was to combine time with tennis and so the lid shows time bands in angled walnut with an abstract tennis ball in the middle. The interior was fitted out to hold 6 large watches and below each watch was a small compartment to hold links and extra screws, there was also a area for a USB stick which contained the manuals. Finished with several coat of Acrylic and fitted with brushed stainless steel Neat hinges and Neat lock which were all fitted with my Neat screw cap – the Neat screw cap was designed by me to take the frustration out of timing the screw heads (or lining up the slots) How many makers have put their polished screws in and had to either over tighten or back of to align the screw slots? also for brass hinges brass screws are very soft and can easily break!!!! so my idea was to take away these troubles and allow the maker to fit a stainless steel screw for a brass or SS hinge and tighten it fully no worrying where the slots where positioned then at the end the Neat cap is installed with a dab of 5 minute epoxy align the slot (see last picture) and your done stress free!.
Thanks for looking Ian
