Spice Rack of Mahogany/Maple

Spice rack for my wife for Christmas. The “C” on the top was a very new experience. Cut with a jigsaw/coping saw.

Lumber: Frame is mahogany. Back panel is ship-lapped maple.

Joinery: biscuits for the shelves, mortise and tenon for the rails.

Finish: BLO + sprayed clear-coat shellac

Cool looking piece. The pediment is unique. The C must have a meaning. Is it for Cathy, Connie or Clyde? ... or could it be the Cubs?
