I am a carver, not a fine carpenter, but I love any excuse to work with wood, and protect my tools. The box is 1/4” cherry, about 3”x4”x9” and finished in tung oil, with magnet latches. I like to design as well as build, and hopefully with more practice my joinery will get better. I understand the principles, but the really precise fit and measure still eludes me. The box houses a 1930’s Stanley 3” mini plane, and a Stanley 1960’s plane manufactured in Sheffield, England.
