Hot off the press….aircraft carrier challenge coin display. Made of oak and stained in dark cherry with a few coats of wipe on poly.

I added a few details with a Carvewright….the text and recessed areas for two special coins for the recipient as well as the hull number 66.

What’s going on my friend…..it has been a while. Still plugging away here with the time I have left before I head back to sea duty next year. Shoot me a note on email to let me know how things are going and so forth..

Now that”s cool! My AQ nephew would love that. I better make sure he never sees it or I’ll be making one.

I used to be an AQ myself. I worked on F-14 radar. Yea, this one was the largest coin holder I have made.

Do you make these to order? It looks amazing in your photos, and I am very interested!! If you do make them for others, I would be very interested in ordering one from you. Please contact me at airgunner6[email protected] I am retired Navy (Ordie), and did a tour at Whidbey way back when. I look forward to hearing from you.

Wow! Very nice. I’m too shy to display mine. They stay in my toolbox.
