The house we built is a new version of a Craftsman Bungalow, and included a sitting room adjacent to our bedroom. One wall was intended to include a window seat with surrounding bookshelves. Attached are photos of that project which I built of quarter sawn red oak and mahogany plywood. The mahogany ply was not stained. The oak was stained with ZAR oil-based teak wood stain. All surfaces were coated with General Finishes Seal-a-cell Clear top coat.

Beautiful job Noel. Looks like a great place to sit. I really like your basement kitchen project too.

Great looking sitting room! Looks like a nice place to unwind with a glass of bourbon and Diana Krall!

Mean-Dean: there are two chairs in the sitting room. C’mon over. I will provide the Diana Krall; you provide the Bourbon.
