Ok, everybody else is doing it, so now it’s my turn. Here’s a little end table I made from a pallet so that when we sit under the carport we’ll have a place to set drinks and such rather then put stuff on the concrete floor.

About 6 months ago (when I was still working) we started getting some of our raw materials in on these nice little (36” X 36”) pallets. I’m admittedly not very good at identifying wood so I dont know what they’re made of. But the wood slats have some pretty nice colorings and grains and I figured they’d be nice pieces to make birdhouse walls from.
Last week we had some beautiful fall weather and I decided to eat my lunch outside. Well it wasn’t 5 minutes before the ants had taken over my glass of diet Dr Pepper, so I knew I had to come up with some sort of small table for out there.

I didn’t take “step-by-step” photos because …. well geeze guys, it’s only a stinking pallet! Glued and screwed it all together. The top is about 30” X 15” and I used some scraps of PT 2”X 4”s for the legs. I gave the top about 3 coats of Tung oil and who cares if the birds crap on it or if it rots away in a few years. Didn’t cost me a dime and I’ll just make another. Here’s what I ended up with…

Late I’ve been saving pallets from work,.
I love the outdoor area you have there.
That table will have lots of story to tell soon.
Nice one bud.

I like it. It serves a purpose. And the diet Dr Pepper is perfect.
