After building several prototypes of stools, this was the version that the customer chose. I have about 10 more to make like this. Then I will start a group with a different design on the back. I am also working on a design with armrests. All of these with backs also have swivels. Taller ones are 30 inches tall (seat height). Shorter ones are 24 inches tall. All made of Beetle Kill Pine.

The seats are carved with Kutzall wheels and lots of sanding. I still have much to learn, but enjoying the journey.

Thanks for reading and all comments and suggestions are welcome.

I am a fan!!! Of both your work and that BKP!!!
I do like how you support the back by tying in the back to the seat.
Thanks for posting your changes for all of us to see. Its been a cool ride with you.

Did you get a lathe yet?

Super nice work as usual. Now those are the kinds of knots I want with this next shipment. Really makes for spectacular projects.

Wow Monte,
Your shop burns to the ground and it seems to only add to the fire that burns within.
You rise above it, set up a temporary shop and shoulder to the wheel, you get the ‘Creative Juices Flowing’.
You are a Pillar of Strength, unencumbered by the constraints of the absent smouldering 4 walls.
You are, to me, the ‘Phoenix Rising’ from the ashes.
...can hardly wait to see the inspiration shared from within your new shop.

Those stools are as amazing as you are.

Best Regards. – Len

Beautiful chairs with a great outcome. We need the matching table or bar now.
