Three years ago I had the remove the cement porch that was not up to code or safe, after some thought and planning. I built it 8’ X 8’ with 4’ wide steps, putting step lights under two steps and weather proof electrical
out lets on both sides for those who put up light for the seasons .
I wanted the panels shown in front, to go from under the hand rail to just above the ground ( try to prevent leaves from piling up under the deck) And yes the front panels are 1/4 sawn Oak,1/2” thick from the place I work, from veneer skids.
I might be the envy of the neighborhood , Ha !

Geeze, most guys hafta scrounge around their towns and the trash dumpsters trying to get skids, and here you MAKE ‘em!
