I needed a better miter saw bench. last one was a re-claimed pallet turned into a cart.
This is simple and based on both the work bench I have built for home and work AND the miter/router bench I built at work.
The left and right bench top is approx. 51” x 22”. The left bench doubles as a router top as well. The left bench has t-tracks allowing a movable fence. The fence is versatile in that I can use it with a 3.5” tall fence or rotate it over and have 6.75” tall fence.
Nothing fancy on the wood. Left over Birch Ply, edged with a pine trim, ripped 2×4’s for frame, scrap MDF for bottom shelf (doesn’t even fit! it temp. don’t judge me haha)

This is still a work in progress. There are plans to hook a vacuum port to the fence, a router box under the top to capture chips, drawers, right bench fence, etc…..

BUT, it’s fully usable now and that works for me.

Great way to re-purpose space. And that router fence is huge. You definitely will not be running out of table space any time soon.

Thanks for sharing.

Very nice.. Do you have an air filter in the basement to prevent sawdust from escaping into the living space??

Really digging that layout, I’ll definitely be copying it.

I appreciate the comments.
you guys are welcome to steal the idea. The bench frame is copied from a Wood Magazine issue (where I found it), but you can find the plans here.
