Morse Code Telegraph Key Box
This was an idea I came up with as a retirement gift for a Coast Guard member that served for 30 years.
As I was contemplating on what to make for member, I remembered a conversation that I had with him in regards to communications in the CG and how it changed so much. He mentioned the best moment in his carreer was when he copied a SOS in morse code and was able to direct his ship to the position saving 28 people from a sinking ship.
He spoke with such fondness of that event that I decided to build this woring Morse Code key box as his retirement gift.

Fairly simple to build. Walnut was used to build it and was able to use a laser engraver for the panel and the glass.

What a great idea AL! I’m sure he’ll love it.

This is amazing, I used to be a Morse code operator in the Air Force, do you think I could order one from you?

Have your say...
