Saturday, I buried the third lifelong friend this year. Back in March, he was visiting me in my workshop & kindly complimented me on my work…particularly some signs I was carving for some clients. He asked me to make him a sign with the Serenity Prayer on it – a prayer that had come to inspire him in his current struggles. I told him I would…but shamefully, I never got around to it. It became a ‘one of these days…’ project. This sign is the first thing I’ve made for myself in awhile…and it will hang in a prominent place in my home as a reminder that the first projects I finish need to be for those I cherish most – because ‘one of these days’ may be to late…

Bob, beautiful work. The serenity prayer has a special meaning to a lot of us. Really sorry for your loss.
