A couple years ago I was remodeling (read as gutting and starting fresh) our master bathroom. While in the midst of the demolition, “she who must be obeyed” said “I would like to use an antique sideboard or buffet as the vanity”. Great . . . yet another design change!!

We were able to find a nice old English oak buffet that seemed to fit the space well and had a nice feel to go with some of our other eclectic pieces in the master bedroom. Unfortunately, the hardware was not well received. “I have an idea dear . . . you can make some wood pulls, right?” Certainly dear. I was also able to add full extension drawer glides to a couple custom pull out shelf/tray units so there would be plenty of storage for essentials. Note the top right pull out . . just deep enough for a multitude of fingernail polish bottles! And the left one . . . where I keep my Tums.

I think it turned out pretty well and what better compliment than from the wife who says “I LOVE IT!!”?
