So instead if paying the big bucks for burled pen blanks, i just bought a chunk of this burl and cut it up. I got 9 usable blanks from it for a total cost of about $1.50 per blank.

CA finish buffed to 12000grit micro mesh.
I have been putting about 5 coats of CA medium and then running through all of the micro mesh pads after a quick spritz of activator. Running through all of them helps get it the perfect thick clear feel. The thick coats help get the burl grain to dance and help the chatoyance really pop.

Nicely turned from beautiful wood—the grain really shows!

Nice wood and finish.
Well done.
