This jewelry box was a lot of fun to build. I had a chunk of Curly Walnut and used it as a Top Knot to some beautiful Figured Maple I had. I sanded it all down to a 400 grit finish, then used two coats of wood filler. After I had sanded it back down I put 9 coats of Lacqure on it. I then wet sanded it down with 2000 and 4000 grit. Waxed and buffed it to a mirror finish.
