cutting boards #2 (using more appropriate wood types this time around)

Okay, so this is my second go at cutting boards. I used purple heart wood and walnut. These are definitely more suitable materials than the oak, pine, and poplar I used in my first ones, so I feel good about that.
This was my first time working with purple heart wood.. I almost feel like I don’t even need to say anymore.. Ha! Ph is extremely beautiful and awesome and difficult to work with. I’m sure I will use it again at some point, but will do in a much smaller ratio!

love the design. Agree with your Purple heart assessment. I have a stash, but it’s in the “stash” for a reason….don’t want to play with it too much.
