Laundry basket repair

I have had enough of cheap plastic ,so I reinforced the laundry basket instead of buying a new one.
I have access to baltic birch from the place I work. so I started with cutting two pieces 2 1/2” wide and long enough to cover the length of the basket , shaped handles on the underside, then sanded the rough edges and scrwed it on through the inside, ans just like new and better

Great idea…I also hate plastic items…like bumpers on cars… thanks for posting

As long as you can fix it , It aint Broke. why not make the whole thing from wood like the Shakers did.
