Just a simple vice for my new work bench. I used 3/4 inch threaded rod and in-bedded nuts in in the bench and knobs. Everything I needed was left overs from bench build, jaw is walnut glued up. jaw capacity is only 6 inchs but that should be plenty. In the holes for the jaw I put in brass bushings to stop any wear where threaded rod passes through. rod is locked into the knob so the screw in under bench and not out of knob, less to get in the way. now to turn a couple of handles for knobs and its done. One more vice maybe a wagon vice?

Wow, looks great, I bet the way the holes are placed will make it very useful indeed

Nice work, should come in handy for dovetails as well as other end grain cutting like half laps and tenons.
