This cabinet was made for a grandson, the wood from what we in South Africa call poplar. Is it maybe what you call “cottonwood”. It is a very soft wood, must be carefully handled but finishes beautifully. The only measurement I had was the bath, the rest was from the directions the grandmother gave. Eventually it turned out quite reasonably for a farmer who was, at that time, more at ease with a welder, a plough and a tractor. It was nine years ago and that was the start of my sawdust addiction.
