I recently learned how to taste good spirits and went on a quest to learn some of the flavors. I eventually needed a place to put everything and designed this.

The top is a sealed, marble 12×24” tile that is set into the wood so it runs flush with the rest of the prep level. The hole in the back lets the wire through for the LED light to illuminate the top. There is a wine rack in the bottom for 12 bottles that are divided by 1/4” plywood. both the hinges and knobs are antique styled brass.

It had always been intended to have legs and a stand, but the structure of it was giving me some trouble earlier on. I even set it flat on the ground for a bit after its completion, but it was too low to easily reach everything, and it looked too heavy. I eventually came up with a design and put some fluted molding around the base that I’m really pleased with.

Some of the work was difficult with the length of the boards I was working with. I set the side and back panels into the corner post with rabbets and dadoes, so making everything fit along that distance was tricky, and getting the cuts smooth the whole was was difficult and stressful.

That’s a great looking liquor cabinet—now you have to stock it properly!
