A new year at college, and last years room mate took her table and chairs with her. “So Dad I need a table”, and being a wood worker off to the garage I went. So the table top is red oak, and the base is MDF, after all it is a table for college students…...

The table can be broken down into three parts and the feet separate. It can easily be put in a 2007 Malibu, and assembly only requires 4 screws that hold the top to the base. (4th picture) The MDF was chosen for 2 reasons cost, and weight.

This table came together very quickly, but it meets the needs, and should serve her needs for the last 2 years of college, and who knows maybe longer.

Thanks Jim it only has to last 2 years, I can then take the top and make a really nice table she can keep well into her future. College kids can be really tough on furniture.
