After watching both Ronald Walters and Steve Ramsey make a wooden whistle, I decided that I needed to try this out. It was the first project I did once I finally got a little band saw. It’s a fun little project that impresses people pretty regularly. It’s made with maple that I had laying around and a little piece if poplar dowel that I hollowed out for the ring on the back.

That is really a cute whistle!
Does it sound “warmer” than the metal variety.
Cant tell form the pictures how big it is!

Nice job, great little project.
I made a wooden whistle once but it wouldn’t whistle. (Dumb joke).

Another even dumber joke, I bought a wooden whistle, but it wouldn’t whistle, so then I bought a steel whistle, but it still wouldn’t whistle, then I bought a tin whistle, and now I tin whistle. Nice whistle
