This is my John Deere banch swing I made out of a 4’x4’ cable spool pallet. I used 14” eye bolts to hang the swing from. Since I have not had the time to build a frame to hang this swing from, I have to get more chain to hang it from my tree. Also I have to make some cushions made for it. As you can see, I used one of my cable spools as bench to work on (it works great, but I will have to update the spool in the future).

Very nice! Appeals not only to the woodworkers, but the ‘Deere’ enthusiasts as well. Makes me want to go put on my ‘Wood Scrounging Hat’ and get busy!

Great idea and you are recycling too!

Nicely done – only suggestion I would say for posting, put one of the finished projects first.

the cover pic, is just the old pallet…. so it doesn’t encourage folks to look further by clicking on it.

DrDirt thank you. I noticed that after I posted it. I’m not how to reposition the pictures.
