I have been making alot of cutting boards for friends and family lately. Most of them I just use one species of wood. I had some Maple, Cherry, Mahogany, and Walnut leftover so I decided to make a pattern using all the wood. I used a cutting board design program that you can download for free on line, otherwise I would have never figured out how to design this pattern. It is supposed to follow the color spectrum fading from light to dark.

Here is a link to the design program, it is really handy.
