Hi all. After seeing some great tool boxes here, I decided I needed to make one. I’m just starting out with woodworking (lots of DIY, a deck etc) and this is my second project. Here are the details on this tool box.

It’s made of 1×8 Poplar with a plywood base. The handle is hardwood dowel from the big box store.

The ends are dovetailed using a Craftex jig and router. The joints turned out tight once the jig was setup correctly which took a fair bit of tweaking.

The base is in a dado as is the handle. No metal fasteners.

The finish is just one coat of boiled linseed oil.

Dimensions: 8”x12”x28”

Nice job. I like the design and a good project to test stains and joinery.
Everyone needs a tool or glue up box.

Nice Work. I like the step down on the side panels. Looks great.
