This daybed is my favourite place with all the windows open on long summer evenings !
With a full size bed matrass it also doubles as a guest bed.
All the cushions and the matrass cover were made to measure by who did a great job and delivered in a week from New York to Oslo !

The construction is fairly basic, with simple cabinets and a face frame front, however the beading and mitres were firsts for me.
I cut both the beadings and the mitres on my router table. First the beadings, then the mitres using a homemade jig and a large 45 degree cutter.
The face frame and drawer fronts are birch. The cabinets are painted MDF.
The matching table is also birch with mortise and tenon construction.

A nice and practical build, Haileyshule. I like the routed corners. Adds a bit of character.

This is really nice! The beading really adds a lot of detail and the fact that the beads are milled into the face frame makes them even better. I do my beadings the same way as you.
