Yet another trash find that I stripped down to create a modern looking writing desk for my niece who just graduated from UK. I actually took it apart almost all of the way and reworked the old dowel joints to make the desk strong again. Added some router work, fresh paint and my first attempt at a multi-layer logo design.

Wow, what a great transformation. Is the logo hand done?

I actually cut the logo out of construction paper with an craft knife and used this method I saw on youtube for layering. This was actually 4 layers. If you spray adhesive on the template then stick it to a piece of wood to remove the tack then put it on the piece you’re doing the logo it will stick enough for no bleed through but then you can peel it off and leave crisp lines.
