Needed a bench for beside the fire pit so built this Saturday. Very similar to lumberjock mips’ bench posted a few days ago. I used three sets of legs. Bench is 48” long. I added 2×6x24 inch ‘feet’ to each leg. Legs are splayed at 10 degrees and back is tilted at 10 degrees. May add a 2×6 across back and drill a couple of large holes for beverage containers/cups/bottles. All pressure treated lumber and plated screws. 3/8 inch bolts added to where back supports cross leg assembly. It is very heavy and very stable! Used 7 2×4x96 inches and 1 2×6x96 inch. It sits fairly comfortable with the 10 degree back. Might get a couple of boat cushions to keep hanging in garage to throw on it. Wife likes it and that’s the most important thing you know!

A couple of end tables, a hot toddy, and you are set for a brisk fall evening.
