So I recently bit the bullet and purchased a Carvewright CNC machine. I know it’s cheating but my going-in plan was to use to enhance projects vice making projects solely with it. We’ll see how things go as I am still very novice on the learning slope.

So a little about the project, the PAMO insignia is the Navy Professional Aviation Maintenance Officer (PAMO) warfare insignia. The wrench was an added touch to highlight the “maintenance” working environment. The base is fairly standard with 1/4’ slots to hold the coins. The wings and base are oak and the wrench is sapele. All finished in a couple coats of rub-on poly.

Time will tell, so stay tuned for more projects from the new machine.

So, how do you like the quality and detail of the Carvewright so far?
