I recently did my first big commission job for a couple friends of mine. It took several months, due to only doing it during my free time, and a couple mistakes that set me back. But I finally completed it. It’s made out of 3/4” Oak plywood and 1x lumber. Stained with Rustoleum American Walnut and finished off with a sprayed on lacquer. I tried a lot of new techniques on this and was super happy with the spraying results of the lacquer. Best of all, the friend that begged me to build it for her, because their store-bought stand was failing, loved it. All was great, right up until a month after installing it the 90 gallon salt-water tank sprung a leak and now they have no fish tank! Oh well, they will get another one eventually but still love the stand. Thanks everyone for all the advice when I was in the planning stages.

Never the less, your FT stand still looks good no matter if the tank is there or not. Maybe they’ll put a lamp on it and call it a day. Nice work and the spray lacquer looks really well done.
