This is a Jewelry Box I made for a customer to present to his wife on their wedding day. It is made from Sapele and Birdseye Maple with Peruvian Walnut accents. I learned a bunch from making this project including making a miter key sled and installing quadrant hinges. The finish is Danish Oil and a wipe on Topcoat from General Finishes. I actually posted some questions on LJ’s on whether or not to glue in the top and bottom panels. I ended up letting them float and everything worked out well. Thanks for everyone’s advice and for taking a look.
