This lathe / router comprising a lathe is broken there, some steel rods, linear bearings, etc.. In addition the system uses a bicycle wheel and chain synchronous movement of the lathe and router. This way I can create precise spirals.
Regards, Aziz.

Interesting use of a router.
How well do the router bits hold up with this type of use?

I assume you do not do any rough cutting with the router?

That is quite the tool and it looks like it does the job intended!
An ingenious design, it’s obvious that it must be fun to use seeing all the chips around it.

True. The device makes a lot of tasks, aligning cylindrical wood legs copying tables and chairs, precise spirals, copying decorations etc..

Nice DIY lathe! Something like a Mad Max machine.
