Project Information

I like to frequent antique shops & pick up interesting items that I can put to use. I found this old crock that was missing the handle & the crockery lid and a Jug with a missing Stopper. I knew I had some small pieces of walnut in my shop that would make nice replacements. I also had some of the brass rod left from the previous candle lantern project. I used my lathe to make the lid & the knob for the lid & the knob for the Plug for the Jug. Then I drilled a hole lengthwise through a piece of walnut for the bale handle, put the wood between centers & turned a new handle. The Jug Stopper has a Cork seal. Came out with nice display pieces for only a few bucks.
