I have never done finger joints so far but I decided to give it a try and built Mattias Wandel’s Screw Advance Box Joint Jig

Apart from some photos of the jig itself, there is another one showing my very first finger joints. They turned out quite nice. The right one is in 6mm spacing with one turn of the big gear wheel for each step, the left one has a 12mm spacing and needed two turns per step. See Matthias's video about more on the function of this jig.

You will love this jig. I have a lynn box joint jig and I love it. However I still want to build Mathias’s screw advance box joint jig. I have had the plans for a while. I am a big fan of Mathias and have built many of his tools.

Nice job and keep posting.

Have your say...
