I needed a simple case for my cheap turning tools. This was made from pine scrap and some left over 1/4 plywood from another project. I made one box, gluing both panels on and then split the box with the table saw. This was the first time I have ever tried doing this. Came out nice!

A great Turning Tool case.

Now a question, what sort of band clamp ar you using? it looks to have hinged corner cauls?

I have the Wolfcraft band clamp:

It does have corner cauls that can be removed from the band when clamping projects without corners. I also recently picked up two of the Bessey band clamps in the great Lowe’s markdown, but I have yet to even open the packages to try them out.

Cases are a must in a wood shop. I have gotten to where I do not even buy tools that do not come with a case, if I can help it.

I was thinking of making a portable “Go” board of a similar design.

Thanks for posting some pictures for us.

I can’t claim any ingenuity on this one :o) I saw a similar cheap turning set that came with a case very much like this. In fact, I thought I was buying the same set off of Amazon and thought it came with the same case. When they came in a crappy half-torn cardboard tray, I knew making a case was a first order project for scraps in the shop!
