I built a pair of nite stands for the guest bedroom at the wife’s request. I used these try try a lot of new tricks. This is the first piece I’ve worked on with mitered banding, the first lipped draw faces, and the first piece with legs. A lot of recycled material went into these. The draw faces were left over red oak scrap from a prior project. The legs were made by ripping 2×4’s, and a good deal of the rest of the materials were scraps from prior projects. I also socketed the platforms into the legs and made an effort to cover up the end grains. Overall it was a fun project with a lot of experimenting.

For an “experiment” it turned out great! Nicely done.
