The oak works very nice with the walnut and maple play field! Any thoughts on making the play pieces? Glad to see the added drawer. Its a shame when the drawer is overlooked sometimes. good safe place to store game pieces.

Thanks for the comment, I have a long ways to go before I can make the checkers. I have just got an old lathe up and going that I got from one of my brothers. Got a long ways to go on that. Going to have back surgery on Tuesday and I will be out of commission for about 12 weeks.
