Here is a crokinole board that I made for my brother’s wedding.

Frame is made from Maple with walnut inlays. Also used biscuit joints for the octagon. Top is made from stained birch 1/4 inch plywood. Checkers/Chess board made from maple and walnut. Finished with a clear satin lacquer. Not too much shine but a nice, hard, smooth playing surface.

Not sure how many hours it took, but it was well worth it. They loved it. I hope to make a few more now that I know the basics.
