I just finished this table and chairs to give to my granddaughter for her first birthday. The table top is hard maple. Everything else is pine. I used a new Beadloc Pro set to join the table and chairs, along with dowels and pocket screws. I finished with several coats of poly, for durability. They ended up very sturdy. Strong enough to endure plenty of coloring, tea parties, and whatever else a little girl can think of.

Boy what a lucky kid to have a master-craftsman for a grandfather.

You have done a very good job indeed. I am sure she will love and appreciate it for many years.
