The wife wanted a new coffee table, and this is what she got. This is just regular big box store pine and finished with 5 coats of tung oil. Thanks for looking, all comments are welcome.

I like the design and your workmanship.

Quite the shine for just tung oil. Do you rub it in or lay it on thick and let it dry? I’m asking because I have a bottle of it and have only used it once. I didn’t get anything as nice as yours.

Mainiac, I put the first coat on pretty heavy and then sand with 200 grit after it completely dries to smooth it out and then each additional coat is very light and sand with 0000 steel wool between each coat. By the way, this is a mixture of Ana Whites design and my own.

Also, my first table top glue up as well.
