I have always been a fan of the ‘mining cart’ coffee tables and after finding an old wheel in my shed I finally decided to put one together.
So for this 3 wheel cart the only metal pieces are the front wheel (original cast), Axle(ready rod encased in pvc), corners(old bumper cut up) straps around the wheels plus the straps holding the front forks and of course the lags and screws.
The rear wheels and front forks are constructed mostly of plywood with an antique finish. The carcass & deck are fir/hemlock I milled a few years ago with various stains to give it an old look.
Measures aprox 43×24x17

I’m gonna have to hide this from the wife otherwise she’ll want me to make her one lol.
That cart simply looks great, the wood, the stain, the wheels and all.
Two thumbs way up.

I just found 4 steel wheels, that my wife wants me to make a cart using a pallet. But I like yours better. Thanks for sharing.

Your cart is awesome! Love the fit and finish.

I’ve been looking for some old cast wheels for a while to make one. You’ve inspired me to keep looking and get one made.

Have your say...
