I work in the industrial packaging industry and we recycle/repair pallets for the likes of Home Depot & Lowes.
I would NEVER eat off of a recycled pallet… no mater how you sand it or finish it, wood is a porous material that can soak up whatever is spilled onto it.
You have know idea what’s been shipped on a pallet or now many times its been used, or where it’s been.
Lot’s of good uses for them…. food prep or dining surfaces isn’t one of them.

A couple of the pictures are interesting but personally I prefer pallet projects in which the finished products no longer resemble pallets. Just a personal preference though; I know the pallet look is popular. I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
