My first time really making boxes. I mostly make handcrafted signs but thought this would be a nice diversion for me.
They are for a client that wanted them as graduation gifts for his daughters.
The cherry is salvaged from a collapsed barn here in Tilton NH. I was told it was sawn about 75 years ago. I’m excited to build some more stuff with this cherry.
Finished with tung oil, shellac and paste wax. The glass is plexi.
By the way, the spelling on the sign in the background is how they wanted it :)
