Where did that remote go...I just had it...

Okay I came hope from work one day and my son and I sat down to watch some Scooby Doo on DVD. I reached for the remotes and could only find one leaning in the remote stand my wife purchased years ago. So my son and I began to search the room and almost the full house for the missing remote. Then, just before we got to the point of calling 911 it was found laying on it side in the back of the remote stand. What a relief….

From that point I just couldn’t enjoy old Scooby Doo like I normally do, because my mind couldn’t stop thinking of how to keep this tragedy from happening again. So off I went with both remotes and the remote stand to my back building where I whipped this little spacer out to keep both remotes standing up so they can easily be seen.

For those who need the measurements…the back piece is about the width of a pencil, the thickness is short enough not to be seen when in the stand and the length is, well from one side of the pocket to the other. The center block is wide enough to fit in the pocket and thick enough to fit between both remotes when they are both in the pocket, not when they are out of the pocket. The rabbit was in the back yard while the other rabbet was cut big enough so they would fit together. Oh and I glued them together for eternity.

Thanks for looking

Wheeeeew! That was a close call.
Well done to avoid any future tragedies.

Oh I envy you. Your remotes are kept in a holder. Mine seem to be kept in the cushions of the couch or chair or sometimes in the kitchen.

Nice one and I might do something similar.

Have your say...
